The PopBeast program is not suitable for you to experiment with, largely because it's based on very old (hence free) software which is not robust and which I can't get resources to improve.
I have therefore adopted a different approach for the ``bugs'' that you will be experimenting with. This is based round the idea of a production system. After saying something about differing approaches to AI, I shall go on to describe how production systems work, and how they can be applied to Eden.
